Progressio works in the following areas in Peru:

Civil society participation 

• Working with the local communities to strengthen citizen participation and improve their capacity to manage alternative community training and health prevention programmes.
• Communications and advocacy programmes to enable local communities to make their voices heard.

Sustainable environment

• Capacity building projects for natural resource management in the Andean region, working with local organisations in coordination with Progressio Ecuador, and financed by Britain's National Lottery Charities Board.
• Promoting appropriate irrigation techniques and water management.

HIV and AIDS

• Working with local communities to raise awareness on HIV and AIDS and to increase prevention methods.
